About Kris

Hi! My name is Kris and I would love to be your photographer. Here are a few things you might like to know about me.
Artistic. That would be the word that describes me; as far back as I can remember, I’ve been drawing pictures. Now I draw pictures in a different way: it sounds cheesy, but as a photographer, I draw with light.
Eclectic. My background is quite varied. I grew up in the Philippines, and came to NYC when I was 10. In 2009, I graduated magna cum laude from St. Mary’s College of Southern Maryland with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art (with a focus on photography and illustration), finishing the degree after a 4 year stint as an electrician for the US Navy’s F/A 18 fighter jets. And although I have many influences, my favorite artists/photographers are Ana Gaskell and Maggie Taylor. Today I specialize in on-location portrait, boudoir and wedding photography, using both natural light and strobes, traveling within Houston, Pearland, Sugar Land and other surrounding TX areas, as well as within New York City.
Romantic. When I was in 7th grade, my science teacher explained how diamonds consisted purely of carbon, which is similar to coal. “Now how many of you girls,” he suddenly asked, “would marry a man who gave you a ring made of coal?” I had raised my hand. I was 13 and I believed in True Love. And since meeting Adam, I know that it does, indeed, exist.
